There aren’t many words you can use to describe The Districts except by putting a smile on your face and saying “they are one of the most talented group of kids I have ever had the pleasure to meet.”

“While you were in HonesdaleEP will back that statement until the end of time. The passion behind the lyrics with the emotion put into the music gives me the chills. I’m a hard man to please but after listening to the 3rd track “Running Faster” several times, I thought to myself, “yeah,  this is an awesome EP”.

FYP RATING: 95%

If you enjoy: Mumford and Sons, The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers & slower Felice Brothers

In short – Finally an album that I can listen to all the way through that doesn’t sound like it was half assed. It’s not “Fate” nor is it “Shame, Shame” but it’s still quite not like anything I truly love by Dr. Dog. It is a giant step in the right direction for Dr. Dog and this will be an album I’m sure I can bring myself to enjoy but for right now i’ll go back to “Easy Beat.”

Dr. Dog – “That Old Black Hole”:

The always lovely Gretchen Lohse from Yellow Humphrey sits down with Ron Gallo and I to discuss Tombs, The Rock, and all things Egyptians. Along with playing some new songs that will make you ball your eyes out like a little baby!

FYP RATING – 94% – Beauitful!

If you were surprised that Chris Kasper’s new album “The First Hundred Years are the Hardest” would anything less then brilliant you’d be a fool. Kasper brings you back into his world for his 3rd release with overly captivating lyrics, instrumentation and vocals.

This album is hypnotizing. Kasper proves to us yet again why he is one of Philly’s most loved songwriters. A+

“The First Hundred Years are the Hardest” is available now on iTunes
