Interviews

I recently asked a few of my favorite local musicians, “If you had a movie written about your life, what song would play over your closing credits?

Here’s what they said…

Chris Kasper: The Grateful Dead – “Brokedown Palace”

Gretchen Lohse (Yellow Humphrey): Ronnie Lane – “Anymore for Anymore”

Steve Schaller (The Heat Run): Arcade Fire - “Wake Up”

Victor Gennaro (Mount Joy): Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Warm Tape”

Michael Andrew Gall: Gogol Bordello - “Start Wearing Purple”

Adrien Reju: Queen – “Play the Game

And of course….

Myself: Velvet Underground – “Beginning to See the Light”

Do you have a question you would like me to ask around town tweet them to @folkyouphilly on the twittersphere  or leave a comment below!

Yes a little under one year ago, FYP was created.  I just wanted to thank each and everyone of you that continue to stop by and check to see what we have to offer!

We have in total a little over 6300+ hits since Jan. of 2011! I never even thought that would happen. It may not seem like a lot to some other bloggers, but to me it’s a thrill to provide my input into the amazing Music & Arts scene in Philadelphia.

I hope to double the hits before the 200th post! Couldn’t do without you guys!

Thank you oh so much!

I LOVE YOU ALL!

Mike

I recently took a stab into stand up comedy and I have to say, I got freaked out that people found it amusing. So i wanted to give back to everyone that may or may not support me in the long run of trying to be a comic, with giving you something free.

Thank you so much, and enjoy this terrible collection of songs.
